Why do they call it after dark when it's really after light? Why isn’t the number 11 pronounced onety-one? What if the Hokey Pokey REALLY is what it's all about? Who did let the dogs out? Why is there only 12 hours on a clock? How long is a piece of string? Why do they call it a pair of pants but only one bra? At a movie theater which arm rest is yours? Can animals commit suicide? Why does the Easter bunny carry eggs? Rabbits don't lay eggs! Did London Bridge ever fall down? Is it possible to be allergic to water? Why do super heroes wear their underwear on the outside of their clothes? Why are women and men's shoe sizes different? What was the best thing BEFORE sliced bread? How do you make seven even? How many seconds are there in a day? Why do they call it a "Television Set" when there's only one? How fast do you need to cook for it to be considered "Fast Food"? Where does the "o" come from when we abbreviate "number"? Why do they imply the 'birds and the bee's' get up to something together? What can a deaf person use instead of an Alarm Clock? What does GOOGLE stand for? Would you like Fry's with that? Why are Softballs hard? Why aren't Blueberry's blue? Do Butterfly's make Butter? Does the Queen Bee have a King? Can you carry a Kangaroo on your back? Is a gold knife and fork still considered Silverware? Why isn't Chocolate considered a vegetable if it comes from Cocoa Beans?

My Future

For the longest time I used to think to myself that I was going to go to a University. I wanted to go somewhere like Harvard or Princeton. Now that I am a Junior I have to start looking at colleges that I would like to go to. Next year I am supposed to start applying to the colleges I like. The only problem is that this year I haven’t really looked at a lot of colleges. Now that this year is almost I don’t know that I want to be when I grow up and get out of high school. I keep saying that I’ll figure it out someday but that someday is coming up faster than I ever thought. I’m looking for colleges I like, but you can’t pick out a good college if you don’t know what you’re going to college become. I always wanted to do something new. Last year I wanted to design my own clothes. This year I am more interested in history and marketing and owning my own business. But what happens if I go to college and get a major in Business then I find out that I want to be a teacher? It is so confusing. I want to do something I am always going to love doing. And people are always changing. In 5 or 6 years what happens if I just don’t like my job anymore?

We Won!!!

I am so happy that we won! We get to stay! I fought so hard for this! I get to graduate here! I am so excited! This means that I don’t have to move! This means that a lot of people get to stay here! I am glad that I was here to experience this. Being here defending our school has taught me so much. I learned that it’s ok to stand up for what you believe in. it’s ok to be different. It’s ok to stand up and say “No! This shouldn’t be like this.” If this school had become a pre-k through 6^th grade school I would have been very upset. I don’t want to leave this school. I have been to 4 different high schools and this school is the first one that I have been really involved with. I am glad that I moved here. If not then I would still be a prissy brat. I have learned so much here. I have learned how to protest, how to own my own business, how to get around things, how to fight for what I want, and how to be me. The real me. This school means so much not only to me but to a lot of the students here. I knew a lot of middle schooler’s that didn’t want to have this place close down. They fought right by my side. They stood up and did what I thought I never could. I love this place. I love Mt. Tipton!

Our Messed Up World

Our world is so messed up! We have the most messed up government, law enforcement, and presidency! Our government is stupid because they shouldn’t be able to invade our privacy and tell us how to live in school, at work, and at home! Being a 16 year old girl I love my privacy and I intend to keep it. Our law enforcement is stupid because they are bias! No judge will ever admit it but they are very bias! A white boy kills his little sister and he gets 6 months in a federal prison with NO parole, and counseling. A white man that molested and raped his daughter for 6 years got 5 years in federal prison and 2 years of parole. A black man that stole money from a cash register and injured the clerk got 15 to life in federal prison with no chance of parole! How messed up is that! Then our presidency is just stupid all together. The president is supposed to be there for his country. Our president stated in a book that he wrote that if we were under attack and he had the choice to save us or join the other side he would join the other side and leave us defenseless. He would feed us to the dogs. Then his wife HATES America! She only does what she does to get publicity! She wants nothing to do with America. Isn’t it ironic that he husband is the president of America?
